Laurel “Viking”
Viking 1

Laurels have thick plated armor which can sustain a lot of damage and their ability to move quickly across the battlefield makes them a fearsome sight for the enemy, sapping morale whilst shielding Agurts infantry advances.

Laurels are operated by a single pilot who is responsible for both movement and operating the various weapons from a small cockpit. As they are operating costly new technology, it is possible that these pilots are ranked as Corporals (or above) and receive additional specialized training in communication, repair, engineering and navigation. The pilot is fully protected apart from his head which is exposed to improve visibility in battle as well as during variable weather conditions. This invites the opportunity for any budding enemy snipers looking to make a name for themselves by disabling a considerable opponent with a single well placed shot. As the Laurel core is not a fully sealed unit it does offer protection against the acid rain but not radiation, biological or chemical weapons.
Viking 2
Viking 3

Laurels have thick plated armor which can sustain a lot of damage and their ability to move quickly across the battlefield makes them a fearsome sight for the enemy, sapping morale whilst shielding Agurts infantry advances.

The Viking Laurel is primarily used in snowy conditions, painted in a dull white this mech can camouflage itself well in surroundings offering stealthy movement to approach unsuspecting enemies. This Laurel has one humanoid “arm” with a gripping hand used for clearing snowy debris, limited labour duties and additional balance in blizzards. The other arm implements a large repeating cannon encased in protective seal to ensure operational status in adverse weather.

Viking Laurels are expected to be maintained, operated and implemented by the Forseti, a division of Agurts Infantry based in the snow capped mountains surrounding their home country and frozen areas of the Desert.

The Viking Laurel was first photographed painted in the 3rd quarter of 2014. There are 2 different paintjobs seen, one with large “Viking” lettering across the front of the mech whilst the other a more subtle description across the chest and a shoulder mounted belt fed cannon for extra firepower. The finished version of the Viking Laurel is expected to be released in 2015.
